my jet chip arrived and after doing alot of research i really want to install it. But after several calls to some dealers not telling them eho i am i explained Jet Chips warranty claim and they said B.S. They would void warranty if chip was installed and one of them told me he actually looks for the chips and the hardware around the chip too see if one has been installed and removed!

I really don't want to void my warranty because i bought the extended warranty! So i guess i will have to eat shipping plus 20% and send it back!

As far as I know, a dealership can't legally void your warranty anymore than I could declare myself the king of America. If the problem can be attributed to a modification, repairs of that nature will not be covered. Otherwise, you wouldn't able to make any mods to your car ever- they could void your warranty when you put in a mesh grill, or a dash kit, or a padded center console. On the other hand, even if they can't void your warranty, they can make it a pain in your ass, and from all the posts about chryslers service, you're probably gonna have to look around for a friendly dealership.

Plus, if you're gonna send it back swallowing 20%, you might as well try to sell it on the forums. Save a fellow 300 owner some dough!

Well All I can say is THE DAY my SRT8 is delivered the Jet Chip, Magnaflow exhaust and K&N CAI all going in place.
I am not worried about the warranty with these parts, none would cause an increase in power severe enough to do damage. IMO

Take the chip out if the car needs to go in for service. They are not that hard to swap in and out. Cecil............

It wouldn't surprise me if they did. If your concerned at all about your warranty, I think the best thing to do is stay away from the Jet chips. After reading RS Warranty Bulletin, I've decided not to put in a chip. I don't think the gains are worth the headache.
