426cu 7.0L Stroker for the 6.1L: Power Ported Performance delivers the Real Deal

Did someone say 426? It's already been done for almost a month...

Representing and on behalf of Indy Heads, Power Ported Performance is proud to re-announce via the web in conjunction with Indy Heads, our modern Mopar Stroker Kit line for the 5.7L and 6.1L engines. As many saw at the Mopar Nationals in Columbus, OH this last weekend, we debuted our Modern Mopar Stroker Kit lines for the 5.7L and the 6.1L engines. I.e., the 392cu from the 5.7L and the 426cu from the 6.1L engine blocks.

The 426cu is making incredible power and even more incredible torque and these number are currently without modifying the ignition at all. Straight power!

Initial numbers are producing 560HP and 600lbs of Torque. Can you say Torque Monster!

I am sure there are many pictures floating around of the engines at the Mopar Nationals, but unfortunately, we were so busy, we didn't even get a chance to take any ourselves. Here is a picture of the engine on the Dyno.

And for those who want to see a little video of it... I only got a few seconds of it running. Still very cool!

This is the real deal. As you've seen before, we only talk about it when its done. Stay tuned for more details on the kits, pricing and availability over the next couple of weeks.

Best Regards,

Jeremy Steinman

DAYUM!!! That's a beast! LS-7 eat your heart out!

Did you port and polish the heads?...If so, bigger valves?

Is it a stock cam and tuning?

The Kit includes Ported and Polished Heads (no bigger valves in this configuration) and Ported and Polished Intake Manifold, more details to follow...

No this was done on an engine dyno so it's crank horsepower.

Question from another forum...

MadC,
This is a great question. Thank you for asking it.
Although we are not in the business of doing installations, we have shops that we can trust with this kind of work located throughout the United States. For those interested in installation options, please PM me or call for additional details.

Another great question from another forum

Cant wait guys!
GREAT question! I will share this with the other forums as well.
The default will be at or very near to stock compression. There will be options to go lower for forced induction applications, at an added expense. The stock cooling system for the SRT's is over rated for the 6.1L and should function well, but desert heat testing of course has not been done and may require additional coolant configurations. I personally plan on upgrading my trani coolant and will likely add an additional engine oil coolant system as well.

Best Regards,

Jeremy Steinman
