“Idle still same. Car starts and feels same as stock. When you drive normal, you cant tell the flash is there. It behaves and acts just like a stock car. When you punch it or drive aggressively, things change. I have stopped turning off traction and doing WOT launches in manual mode on the street. Not safe, 1st gear acceleration is very strong, and i cant stay straight. Car chirps the tires going to second at WOT. Shifts are firm, feels absolutely great. You need to be careful when punching it at 20-25mph. Even with traction on and in auto mode, rear end breaks loose. No change in gas mileage.”
“Shifts are firm, crisp. It feels like the sport mode in amg cars, this is how the factory should have done it.”
“we have made so many runs with and without flash, with or without other stock and ported head srt8s, with and without bottled srt-8s, that we have all kinds of interesting data and duplicatable proof that the flash works. It is the only mod so far that has given me real track advantage.”
“Also, the flash gets rid of torque management, and the car no longer backs out at shiftpoints. With stock flash, the computer eases up timing and throttle a bit to make the shift smoother and easier on the tranny. This flash gets rid of it. Now at WOT, the car slams very nicely into the next gear with firm and crisp upshifts, sometimes chirping the tires when going from 1st to second. If you are NOT at WOT, it shifts just like stock flash, minus the nice slam, but with firm/crisp. You WILL have to learn to take it easy with this flash, even with my massive wheels it is VERY easy to break loose and go sideways, esp at 1st gear.”
“torque management is always gone. And I love it. That is probably the best thing about the flash, closely followed by 'full throttle at first gear'. ESP is on unless turned off.”
“flash works regardless and will lower your times, with ported heads or not. Ported heads lowered my time maybe by two tenths, flash lowered it another four tenths. My before/after dyno with porting showed the best gains in fourth gear, at the top end.”
“bone stock srt-8s down here run about 13.6 to 13.7 in this temp/humidity. Ported ones run about 13.3 to 13.5. And now we have two flashed/ported cars at 13.0, 12.9 very close. We have made at least 30+ passes this summer, and met up with at least 8-10 other local srt-8 owners with different combination of mods and different heads. We have been gathering all this data over the last 3 months and looking at track times and dyno numbers. I can confidently say that the flash will lower your time, with ported heads or not. When temp drops to 70s, we are sure we will easily run 12.7s, maybe mid 12s someday if temp goes down to 50s to 60s.”
In manual shifting, or first gear WOT on wet surfaces, the car will go into “Limp Mode” (trani disengaged; shut off car and restart will reset transmission) “All you have to do is make sure you shift by 6000, so it shifts at around 6400 and you are good. You go past 6500 it will go limp. Or you can just leave it at auto and it shifts on the dot at 6200.”
HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER:

Place your Order. You will then receive a Voucher to print out via email. All orders will be verified by B&G. You will then send out your PCM via the carrier of your choice. Place your PCM and the Voucher in the box and ship to address on your Voucher. Your PCM will be shipped out to B&G and then turned around usually the same day (weekends excluded). Additional shipping options are available for Overnight shipping. Call for fee quotes for any additional shipping options that may be required. You will need to provide Make, Model, Year and PCM Part # for the 5.7L vehicles.
