Correct. I dont take offense to your comment. You cant really trust the media or the DOD. They are both twisters of truth. I see it everyday from the inside. I have a secret clearance after all. Know I cant tell you who, what, when, why or how. I said its a secret.

Its just a pity that people are dying at a fast rate over there. I am not sure I would want to park my 300c next to a police station, army barracks, shopping center, school, government office, etc.

Thanks to all those there trying to make Iraq a better place!

regards Michaelr

Did you know that 3368 kids chose to join the army and put themselves at risk so that we could live a better life. I am well aware of the casualties in Iraq, and I am very thankful for the troops. No one wishes any harm and we all hope that they can come home soon. The point is that the media shouldnt continue to harp on all the bad things and needs to let everyone know that our troops are making a difference.

Amen, Amen, Amen to that. Very well stated. Thank you for stating the positives and how biased the Press is.

Thanks PPP for this rare positive reporting of the situation.

Unfortunately, what Mike indicated is correct; the US media will only report what catches people's attention and increases ratings.

As outspoken as I was on the "Obama" thread, I would like nothing more than for this Iraq invasion to be a resounding success. I would love this war to turn out for the better for the Iraqi people and get our servicemen back home safe.
