PPP runs an 11.24 and breaks previous record - are they lying about the numbers?
So I had heard there were a couple of vendors on the LX related forums and on the truck forums that were spreading some serious mis-information about Power Ported Performance and our record 11.28 second 1/4 mile run; saying they had information from someone that was there that we had run faster times (in the 10's) that night in St. Louis and didn’t post that information up. Some BS about running nitrous and trying to hide it.
A.) this is just an out right lie.
B.) there wasn't any times being posted to the light boards, so anyone watching had no idea what we ran unless they asked.
C.) if it was a friend in the tower as one competitor claimed and we ran in the 10's, why wouldn't we post up about being the first in the 10's?
Plain and simple; because all these rumors are lies and horribly weak attempts to discredit Power Ported Performance.
Frankly, I am getting really tired of the lies, misinformation, and behind the scenes attacks on our good name. We hold ourselves to the highest standards and have nothing to hide. Our numbers prove it time and again; with witnesses to verify there isn’t any nitrous hooked up or being run on the PPP SRT-8 426 in order to achieve these times. We are not trying to deceive anyone, but apparently there are others out there that are trying to deceive the public in an attempt to wrongfully harm what we consider to be an outstanding reputation for excellence by misinforming the general public and our potential customers.
So to make an already long story shorter, in order to set the record straight, today I went back to the track to see if I could come close to repeating the 11.28 run I had done in St. Louis at 1:30 am in the morning. Ultimately to prove once and for all that these numbers are real, achievable, repeatable and were absolutely not attained on nitrous or any other power adder, other than our 426 Stroker motor (available for 5.7L & 6.1L vehicle owners).
I was only able to get in two runs today as the track was shut down several times from cars having problems.
Here are my two time slips:
Here is the video of the 11.38 run. Everyone I knew there was in the lanes and about to run when I ran the 11.24, so sadly no video of that run, but again these runs did happen and cannot be disputed, no matter what some unscrupulous competition is trying to say. I would also like to add; there are many vendors on the forums that have great ethics and I am in no way referring to those individuals.
We've been extremely respectful and not calling out the particular vendors, so Thread bashing will not be tolerated. I sincerely apologize ahead of time to any vendors that may mis-construe this post as being in reference to them, as it obviously is not. As a vendor you already know this isn't in reference to you if you aren't the guilty party.
We apologize to the public if in your mind you have to question whether it is a vendor you work with and/or respect, but ask yourselves honestly if you have to even question it. Obviously you will know if the vendors you do business with truly show themselves as having integrity and ethics in how they do business.
Again sorry for the lengthy and drawn out post, but our reputation, ethics and integrity was seriously being attacked. But once again we have proven that for those distinguished, and consumer conscious customers that want the REAL DEAL, (no BS, no lies, no questionable ethics; just pure horse power performance) picking up the phone and calling Power Ported Performance will get you your own record setting performing products.
If you are interested in learning what options are available so you can start setting your own records, give us a call and we'll let you know how we can help.
