Welcome to the forum. Sad first post, however. A few more details, please, Tsam. Perhaps someone here can give some advice.

BTW: Lot's of burnouts and racing by some of the regulars here,

Mine just failed too! As far as details: 300C, 4 mo. old, 9000 mi., driven pretty modestly, already had dealer do prior service release oil change(3 times they said) because of "shuddering". It just would not engage drive nor reverse no matter what gear I shifted it into. Even tried the manual shift which was totally nonresponsive.
It is now towed to dealer. Shoot, just when I had a business/golf trip planned!!

Ideas or comments welcome...

bought 2005 300C in Feb. At 1070 miles torque converter failed. dealer replaced converter AND tranny after we said not accepting converter swap only.... HA...converter only. now at 4500 miles while cruising at 80mph and floored the engine ?? shudders violently. could do it at will on trip to LA but when taken to dealer couldn't get to repeat. i think maybe it's tied to variable displacement engine problem...like cylinders not kicking in when demanded. didn't know about water in trans causing shuddering....

2005 300C with 17K miles, started shuddering at 15,000, completely lost all gears a week ago. The first dealer kept it for a week, installed a "speed sensor." The very next day it happened again. Towed to a 5 star dealer yesterday, they said preliminary inspection may be torque converter. I emailed them this thread and said I want a new trans, and don't take 30-40 days to make a decision.

This appears to be more than a "little problem" for Chrysler. I will keep you posted.
