It's probably the water issue again. When the tranny gets hot the water boils and foams up the tranny fluid. It only takes 1/2 ounce of water to cause problems. The pump and converter are spinning in a foamy homogenized mess and the pump looses it's prime. After it cools or just stopping the car the pump usually primes again. It works again until it gets hot or more water enters from the air conditioner drip path or even touch less high pressure car washes. Eventually the tranny burns up. My dealer couldn't find the problem and said the problem needed to be repeated before they would do the TSB. By the time they admitted it had a problem it needed a full rebuild and would not move. It took 40 days for the rebuild. After that Chrysler sent me a bunch of lemon money but I still I traded mine in for a SRT-8.

Mine is in the shop now for a little tranny work. Complete failure at 9000 mi. on car. Had TSB done at 6000 mi. and drove great for 1 month. TSB did not solve problem. I will post the dealer explanation and repair performed.

Thanks for that excellent description of just how the water in the tranny problem manifests itself, 300C_AWD--most informative and helpful.

BTW, at the last post of yours I could find back when your ride had a tranny problem, the dealer had had your car for 2 1/2 weeks and you were less than pleased with the whole process up to that point. How'd it turn out?

Well I got a call from my service advisor
he said they had the trannie out an it had a "mechanical failure " they just dont know what type !!

Well I said I wanted a new transmission he said no way. Chrysler would not allow that . Well Im so upset and concerned I really have lost faith in the safety of this car... I did see a nice little SRT8 that kinda peeked my interest .. So i will see what happens re the lemon law
