Couldn't Wait

I ordered a 300c back in mid-August and was still in BX status as of Labor Day weekend. This weekend driving around car lots, I decided to take a stand against Chrysler and the allocation system (which by-the-way, sucks), and buy a different car...I mean truck. I spotted a Chevy SS silverado, and I fell in love. The truck is a '03 with a 6.0L V8...the previous owner installed a magna-flow exhaust system and a couple extra aftermarket accessories...like a supercharger bringing the bad boy to 440-450 hp. After driving the truck one time the dreams of the C slowly faded.

Here is where the story takes an ironic twist...
While driving the car back from Topeka I ran up on a C at a stoplight...and I will leave it to your imagination what happened.
I understand that the C is more of a luxury sedan and the Truck is a truck designed with performance in-mind, but I will be looking for the SRT-8 at the light.

The final thing that I would like to comment on is that I really did love the 300c, but patience is not one of my strong characteristics. I wish chrysler would have been more focused on the customers frame of mind. When a consumer wants a car and the manufacture can't deliver the auto...the communication needs to be better established. Its not that the wait would have been that bad...Its the not knowing the time frame that causes the problems. When dealers have no idea how the allocation system works its time for a change.

Agreed. First come, first serve, is the American way.
It is the way of civilized nations.
Chrysler's order/delivery methodology pisses a lot of people off.
You would think being the auto industry, where seniority plays a big role in the factory, Chrysler would follow an order/shipping system where you get your car in the order you ordered it.

Hey folks I waited 12 weeks and the wait was worth it. I could have got one for a higher price but getting axactly what you want off the truck is a great feeling. I too got a little less excited as the time wore on, but resolved myself that that was extra time to save a little more for the down payment. The wait is worthwhile...still congrats on the new truck chad_c_u.

I waited exactly 12 weeks and still in BX. I bought one off the lot Saturday and even though it was more expensive (more options) I don't have to wait any more.
