Time from order to delivery

I moved this post to here since this seems to be where delivery is discussed.
How long is it taking from order to deliver? I ordered my C on April 17, Cool Vanilla all options except cold weather package, satellite radio, u-connect, smoker package. Dealer orginally said about 6 weeks--then said delayed due to sunroof. Checked again May 12 and dealer said was being built at that moment. Dealer said 13 days from shipment to arrival best time he had seen. Also, anyone know anything about $1000 for Chrysler financing? I didn't plan to finance but for $1000 may consider if rebate extended to June. Looks like June shipment is best I can hope for. Also rebate of $300 for small business owner and $500 for Farm Bureau member. Chevron employee gets price of 1% below invoice but does not apply to retirees like me as best I can tell. Dealer says that there is no Chrysler loyalty rebate. If anyone has better info, please pass it along. I am paying 2% above invoice, less any rebates.

I just got off the phone with DC and find my 300C is in paint at this time code is (F).
I had heard that the car was to be shipped to-morrow, maybe they use air drying LOL, but at least the car is in the finishing stages. I ordered this car on the 27th of April with all options except Nav and Sirrus.

My cool vanilla C with protection II, HID, and pedals ordered 4/23 and ships on 5/31. Dealer called today and expects delivery first week of June-I'm getting giddy, now I know how women feel about anticipating a diamond.

12 - 16 Weeks

Well I got some really bad news from my dealer today. I am looking at August to perhaps mid September before I MIGHT get my 300c ordered on 5/13.

I've got 7 orders in front of me at this dealership, with late March/early April orders just now showing D1 status. And to think they felt comfortable telling me it was a 4 - 6 week wait. They knew that was a lie.

It looks like my hope of having this car by the end of the summer is fading fast. The question now is whether to cancel the order and start contacting other dealerships in the hope of finding a fully loaded unsold car, or just be patient. Patience is a virtue, but it sucks too!

That sucks man, Mine is due mid June but I'm not counting my chickens yet, you never know, old Murphy's law. Why don't you get in touch with E55, his "ol lady" got over $3000 off sticker on a C!. You could check with that dealer and have one shipped for $600 or so if available. I had my Alfa shipped from Wisconsin, an MB from PA and a Lexus from TX. You could save money and time.

Ship it? Hell, if I couldn't have found one in state I'd have caught a plan to wherever I needed to go to get one. The drive back would be great

I would bet that if you searched the internet you’d find a car with the option that you want within a few hundred miles of your location.

That is exactly what I did -- search the internet and found 2 close to what I wanted in the local area at the same dealer. I went there, examined both cars, drove the one that met my desires regarding build quality and bought it. I did not order one nor wait for one. This car had only two things on it that I would not have ordered -- the Sirius and the Smoker's Group. The dealer agreed to deduct the cost of them (but left them on the car).

This way I SAW, examined, and drove the car with no obligation to buy. My experience with my last 3 LH models was rather poor on build quality and they were ordered. Never again. This car was built in 4/04, not during Jan, Feb or Mar, and delivered to me on 4/29/04.

I only had to drive 20 miles to get the car. Well within reason so far as I was concerned.
