What is this?

I found a clear plastic bag in my 300C with nothing in it but what appears to be some type of screw (although the head is flat). The bag is labelled "KEEP IN VEHICLE FOR CUSTOMER USE".

The number above the bar code is: MXXXXXXXX. There is also another bar code that is difficult to read but appears to be "DC P/N XXXXXXX LEAR P/N XXXXXXXXX".

The bag looks similar to an item I have seen for sale on ebay for the 300 Limited Badge. Could it have been the 300C Badge? Any ideas?

Exclamation

Umm... One of those numbers contains your key codes. Not sure I'd want that posted on the Internet!

I'm not sure what the bag was for, but I had to contact my dealer to get the key codes for my car as part of my re-fi with the Credit Union. And the key code number IS on the bag!

I put my bag in the file I have for the car. No point in leaving the key codes just laying around!

I agree Blue. I don't think I received a bag either. Is there anything else on or in the bag we need to have??

CoolVanilla, see if you can have one of the moderators remove the numbers. One of them is Definitely your keycode. Someone can have keys made up. Probably not an issue as of yet but I would remove it as soon as you can.

I have a bag like that. It contains all my front license plate stuff like Mr. Jefferson stated.

I hid it in my garage because I never want it mounted
