I had the TSB fix done yesterday. It did NOT fix the problem 100%. It did improve it, however. I picked the car up and drove it on the highway and turned right around and handed it back to them. They stated they would move the cradle some more.......

If this does not cure it 100%, I will contact Chrysler and go from there. At this point, I wish I would have never seen this car. The dealer has had it three times now. I will NEVER buy a first year release car again.

Holy crap JR. I am very sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your 300C. It is a very risky move to buy a first year car, and I did it too. This is my first. So far, it's been pretty good for me, I'm knockin on my corian desktop here at work as there is no wood.
How many miles are on your C? I only have about 600 right now. Just wondering when you started experiencing your starting problems. I haven't the pull to the right in mine.
Again, I am very sorry, and disappointed in Chrysler, that you are having those problems.

I too am sorry that you are having a bad experience. I don't have my C yet and have some first year concerns but will roll the dice (though I will thorughly eval before taking delivery). My RX8 which Mazda took back under the buy back program developed a serious and dangerous pull under braking at about 600 miles. I never had the CEL or low oil pressure light many owners had. I swore no more first year cars for me(less than a year ago). Having the factory buy back the car at full price including tax, fees etc. regardless of miles obviously lessened my pain so much that my head is soft again for a first year car. I hope DC does the right thing for you.

Just over 1000 miles. I was at the dealer today and they said they have done all they can do. They are going to contact the regional rep. tomorrow and see what to do next. The service director has been super. He has gone above and beyond. Maybe the next step will be a buy back? Who knows.....

Took mine in yesterday. Dealer was unable to realign to revised specifications using cradle adjustment only. Bolt kit, which DC says should be installed only when all else fails, was ordered. So will have to wait some more. There are 600 of these bolt kits backordered. I wonder whether they're being installed at the factory now.

Fortunately, the problem does not seem to be severe. I really don't notice it but my wife does and she drives the car a lot more than I do.

More bad news: My wife called this morning saying that the car would not start. She waited awhile and was then able to start it. There is another thread out there with a few owners experiencing similar problems. We'll see how this one goes.

Current mileage: 2100

Saturday, I am going to drive a car at a local dealer. It has all of the equipment that I want, and no equipment that I do not want (moonroof, unconnect and satillite radio). It is Cool Vanilla, one of two desired colors. The other is the silver metallic paint scheme. It is perfect except it has light instead of dark carpet. It has navigation without moonroof... will wonders never cease??? Thought that I would have to order a car to get that equipment configuration. Might have my car by Monday instead of waiting 10+ weeks, from ordering.

My question is this, (as I have not read it in this post) when did the earlier 300Cs pull to the right? During breaking, on the throttle-up, driving along, when the hand is taken off the steering wheel ("Look ma no hands") or when?????

Thanks,

StCassel

I sympathize with your worry and frustration JR.

At the same time, it sounds like the 300c's bugs are
minor for a first-year vehicle, and the price one pays
for the fun of being the first guy/gal on the block.
It also sounds like Chrysler is stepping up to the problem,
and not just blowing smoke.

I certainly wouldn't want a buyback under these conditions,
but that's just me.

I hope that you get your problems solved soon and that,
in the meantime, a few deep breaths or a nice drive will put the
smile back on your face.

Best,

George "Has No Financial Involvement With DC" Ferguson.

I am in the same boat as jrcase. I have sent my papers off to the DA's office, as well as chrysler. The car pulls to the right no matter what your doing, on the hwy at higher speeds if u let go of the wheel youll be in the ditch, I too am sick and tired of worrying about this car and having to deal with all the ****. I more than likely will never buy a chrysler again, but we'll see how the rest of this process goes.
