HVAC Problems and Dealer refuses to fix?

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on my problem and a solution.

Basically, I have two problems.

1. The A/C when on, makes a strange whining sound when driving at high speed.

2. When set at FLOOR, the system blows air as if it were in DEFROST?

I took my car to the dealer and they claim they have seen problem one on several cars and many owners have complained, but Chrysler has no fix nor will they let the dealer do anything about it.

Problem number two just showed itself as it has not been cold enough til this last week to use the heater and the FLOOR setting. I wonder if the two promlems may be related.

No problems with HVAC so far. Haven't heard of anyone else with same problem. Do you have the C with dual zone auto? Also have you checked the Technical Service Bulletins (TSB)? You can find them somewhere in this forum.

Blend door stuck? I assume the blend door is controller by a stepper motor, since it does not clunk in place. Sounds like it's basically always in defrost. How about in recirculate? Could the whining be wind whistling through a slightly open vent?

I remember reading about prob #2 somewhere. They had to replace the servos that control the vents.

Gang,

I had a sound that was comming from behind the glove box this past summer that sounded like a dry speedo cable. Dealer said that it was the condenser on the A/C and that's the way it is. Don't buy it!!
