Passenger Air Bag Sensor

I just started having a problem with my passenger air bag being disabled when noone is in the seat. The light does turn off when someone is in the seat so it is working. The problem is when noone is in the seat, the sensor seems to be showing a slight weight that is turning off the airbag and causing that annoying light to be on. I will be taking my car in for service next week to see what the problem is. Does anyone know if there is a way to zero out the sensor sort of like you zero out a scale so the sensor knows what the zero weight if the seat is?

I took my car in for service on this today. Turns out the sensor needed to be re-calibrated. Took them about 45 minutes.
