Rear window doesn't work intermittently

The driver's side rear window doesn't work ever now and than. Has anybody else had this problem?

It's always the same window. When it happens, both the driver's door switch and the rear door switch will not operate the window. (So far, I have been lucky in the respect that it has never failed to close...the problem is always in failing to open)

Than, when I try it in a few minutes, next day or whatever, it works flawlessly.

Anybody else?

I thought I was the only one.. It has happened to me a few times. Is it the rear driver's side? It only happens when the car is "on" , but the engine is off.

There was a thread about this some time ago. Mine also became intermittent then died. Dealer replaced actuator under warranty. Right side rear window also sticks closed sometimes.

Well, when it happend this morning, the status was like you describe (ignition switch on, engine off). After reading your post, I put the switch on and the window still didn't work. I cranked the engine and the window worked!

Now I'm wondering if that's just part of the intermittent problem. With your suggestion, I'll have to see if it ever happens with the engine on. I really can't remember if any of the past failures occurred with the engine on.

I HATE INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS.

Mine does the same thing and it's the same window! I'll have to see whether having the car running or not makes a different...

Mine just did it again yesterday, and has happened a few times in the past. Every time with the engine on and driving. Also, every time other than yesterday, it has gone down after a couple of tries.

Add me to the list. It has happened with car running and not running. Only happens on occasion, but it still is frustrating.

After the first time I washed my car my driver window wouldn't function up or down automatically, if i held it the window would go up or down. 2 days later it worked fine. I have yet to wash it again (will this weekend) to see if it happens again.
