Front shock or strut went out,1 month old

After 1 month since I bought it, my driver side front strut was bad.
I had too wait 3 weeks for the part to come in.
It was ok to drive the car while the part was on ordered.

Symptoms: It would clank on turns and entering and leaving my driveway.

Has anyone else had this expierence?

1 more thing , a rattle sound when my fans kick in.
Sounds like there's a bunch of leaves inside?
I checked there's nothing inside.
