Engine Light, Please Help

Okay, my problem is that I live in So. Cal. but drove to Scottsdale AZ today and my check engine light came on a few miles before my destination. My bigger problem is that I have the FlashPaq installed and I understand you have to take it out before you can take it to the dealer. So........sugestion???

turn the car from the off postion to the on positon (don't start the car though) 6 times (i think its 6) and it will give you a code. Give me that code and I will tell you whats wrong.

turn on and then all the way back off and then back on 4 times right? Not just to ACC, or whatever it is? And the code will be on the UVEC?

Okay, I think its P 0404. If thats it, you turn the key on and off 3 times ending in the on position.

Get in the car, close the door. Perform the following steps fairly quickly (less than 3 seconds) :

Turn key to ON
then back to ACC
then to ON
then back to ACC
then to ON

If there are any stored codes, they will appear immediately, in place of the odometer. For instance an "INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH" error will set a code of P0113.

This is how you do it.

P0404-EGR POSITION SENSOR PERFORMANCE

Possible Causes
(F856) 5-VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT
(K35) EGR SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT
(K900) SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
EGR SOLENOID ASSEMBLY
PCM
