Grease
|
I recently installed UAS's air ride kit. Today I noticed a knocking sound in the rear when I went over bumps. Pulled the rear wheel off and there was green grease slung all over inside my wheel. Its about the same green color as antifreeze. I looked all over and could not tell where it was coming from. The only thing I can see that would have grease in it would be the half shaft boot. I looked for tears or cuts. Nothing. Its not pulled back from the shaft or the hub. The grease is slung all over the inside of the rear spindle, back of the break caliper, pretty much everywhere. LOL. This is a large amount of grease too.
Oh and with the knocking sound, not sure what it was. Tried tightening all the bolts I could find in the rear. All were tight. Put the wheel back on, set it down, and it doesn't do it now. Haha
But right now I am more concerned with the grease. Anybody know where it could be coming from? Depending on where its coming from, the dealer may not to any warranty work because I installed the air ride kit. So just looking for a heads up before I take it in.
Thanks
Shawn
