U-Connect wiring question....

OK, trying to continue to troubleshoot this set-up problem I have had....

can anyone with this option check the back of your mirror? There should be 2 wiring harnesses there. Can you tell me how many wires are involved with the long slender harness?

Thanks!

Dude, chill out, take a deep breath, and TAKE THE DARN CAR TO THE DEALER. You get a loaner car, tell them that the damn thing does not work and to fix it. When you get to far into things, the dealer thinks your crazy. If they wont fix it, find anothe dealer. In my opinion, if they cant fix a simple u-connect system, do you really want them working on, for example, YOUR ENGINE.

Dude, I am chilled...I am simply trying to eliminate 'obvious' causes that might get overlooked as a service tech starts to tear crap apart. That and I like to contibute to troubleshooting wherever I can and understand my own car better. The car has already been at the dealer so they can confirm it not working...I needed the car that day (not a loaner) so yes, I am taking it back in.

I have no problems thinking they CAN fix it, I just don't want anything damaged, marred, dirtied, misalinged or anything else in the process.

Thanks, BTW for actually answering my question...not.

the only way you could start to diagnose it is to get your hands on a Starscan. I would start by seeing if I could communicate with the hands free module ( which is directly behind your glove box. If I could not comunicate with it, I would more than likely replace it, mainly because the power feed is the IOD fuse. I assume nothing else is inop, and I assume nothing else has been installed in the car?

Thanks for the info, but you really need to work on your forum decorum...answer the question posted...not with some smart alec response that is of no value in answering the specific question asked.
