Told my dealer to F*CK Themselve

oh what a week.

Bought my 300C 11weeks ago on a Sunday and it came equiped w/20"wheels(butt ugly wheels)stickered for an extra $4600. I told my salesman & the manager that I don't want the wheel package, but instead I want the Nav system and the sunroof. They told me since its Sunday, the mechanics are not here to install my stock wheels, so they WILL CALL ME to bring the car back it to swap the wheels when my Nav & sunroof comes in. I told them I am not comfortable driving around on the 20"s because it might be damaged. They told me don't worry about it.

One week later, I called to check if the Nav & sunroof is in stock and also wanted to bring the car in for the wheel swap. They told me that my order is on back-order, don't worry about it, keep the 20" for now. Eleven weeks passed, with me calling them every single week, they NEVER called me once.

Finally my order came in and I brought the car in for the installation. I also told them that my check engine light is on, so take care of that too. FIVE DAYS later, my car is not done and I get this freaking phone call from the dealer DEMANDING that I pay $921 for the wear & tear on the 20" and to repair one wheel because it hit a pothole and I must pay this amount inorder to get my car out. I told the guy politely about the situation and that there was people test driving the car before I bought it. It could have been me or anyone testing driving hitting the pothole, but I am not gonna pay for anything I don't want.

Bastard said he doesn't care and TOLD ME TO ADMIT fault and pay for it. I told him to F*CK himself and I will go down to the dealer to watch him get f*ck personally. Anyways, on my way to the dealer in the loaner car, at a stop light, someone hit the lady behind me, she then ran into me., then the car ran off. What a freaking week. So I am at the dealer with their banged up loaner car. First, I had to deal with the general manager about the accident, nothing is coming out of my pocket because I wasn't at fault.

Now I get to go see the bastard. I was yelling at him, telling him to show more respects for their customers, after all, its about retaining customers, not pissing them off. The guy told me that am scaring the customers, I told him they should know the truth about the dealer they are buying from, I told him I spent $40K on a car and this is how some little bastard treat me?? The general manager tried to calm me down and asked me to explain the situation.
After explaining to him, he waved the fee, reprimanded the bastard, he apologized.

I went outside to pick up the car, guess what?? my check engine light is still on. They told me to bring it back again because someone forgot to write it up on the order.

What a week.

ugh

Ugh thats a horror story for sure. you shouldnt have to say or have said to you the F word by any one at a dealer. I'd get the bastard Fired call the General manager. That not how you deal with a customer at all.
If you can take it to an other dealer. I woundnt waste my time with them.

Good Luck

Glad to hear you finally got what you were promised.
How do you compare the ride to the 20's?
Most folks go from 18's to 20's.
I am curious if the ride feels less jarring or smoother over bumpy roads on the 18's. Do you have the self sealing tires?

Imagine if you had not called the dealer weekly. I've come to learn one thing for sure out of my experience. Chrysler has no clue about Customer Service. I've had my issue's with them along with other members and they just don't get it. It's no wonder that the car industry is hurting. I would report this to DCX, this is typical business for them.

Chrysler customer service needs to improve. Sorry to hear about your run in with the dealer and hopefully the manager can work things out with you. In most cases these dealers don't care about customer service because they can't even keep 300's on the lot. The only time im bringing in my 300 is for a oil change because I can watch them do it or if something seriously malfunctions because i don't trust Chrysler's service dept. And you mentioned your engine light was on, I had the same problem with only 300 miles on my car and the dealer told me that the car's computer will reset the light after 4 "normal" driving cycles. If the light remains on after 4 normal cycles then bring it in.

If this is "typical business for them" then a call to DCX is a waste of time. It may, however, be effective to Google for DCX Senior Management names, e-addresses and mailing addresses and send a calm, well-written, professional letter explaining your problem and what you would like to have as the final outcome.

I f you find it, don't forget to post that contact info here for other members that may need to do likewise!

Sure hope your C, and all the rest of your days are better than that ugly one!!

I didn't want the dealer's 20" because I got some 22"s 3-piece Asanti wheels coming. As far as ride comparising from the 20"s going to stock 18"s. My wife & mother didn't notice a different. As for me, there's less road vibration, not from wheel sizes, but more from tire brands. Stock 18"s there's more oversteer and less grip, but overall, most people wouldn't know the difference.

When I was taking a test ride in a Magnum RT, my dealer had the owners RT with 20's on the car. It was OK but when I took a stock RT for a ride when I returned, I noticed that it did ride smoother with the stock 18" wheels and tires. Now who knows, maybe the 20's had to much air in them or maybe the 18"s were low on air. But I would think that the 20's with the lower profile sidewall would give a stiffer ride.
