sounds crazy but it works...
i noticed that in the owners maual it states that your key is disabled when in the ignition (you can not open trunk, unlock doors..ect) so i put 2 and 2 together came up with 5 and started playing with the key in my hand ( instead of thr one in car) and it worked for me glad it helped you...
check those fuses in your trunk bet they are not seated properly

Got it, just read the yellow card, not the book! Don't put it in run position, just sit there with the key in your hand and do the sequence---press lock and it works. Easy

Thumbs up remote linking

I think that all you have to do is hit the keys fast. I didn't have another key in the ignition. I just hit 1, set, 1, then key really fast and it now works. Just now gotta get key 2 set for my girlfriend. One question I have is that I now have 3 keys, how you ask. A week or so after I got my car, my car cut off. . I call the dealership and they had it towed for me. I then call the dealership that next day, and they told me that they had no idea what was wrong with the car . After two more days of playing around they called me and told me that they know whats wrong with my car , but they have to order a new computer will take another day or so . Long story short I got my car and dealer gave me a new key. They told me that the other key I had at home would not work. So now I have the key that was with the car already, and dealer order a new key because the other old key would not match the new computer or something like that. They told me to send it back to them or destroy (so I would not get confused). I then go home with my two new keys and get the third key and decide to get rid of it, but not until I check it out for myself. The third key worked, starts the car and unlocks doors and trunk. Do the dealers not know what they are talking about or stuff just works like that sometime.

lol.... Yep the yellow card..... Argh... threw that in the glove box on day one and forgot about it.

For those that may have lost it, or never received one ... Here ya go.....

Of course make sure it's enabled in the "EVIC" first. The default setting is enabled.

To program your transmitters, perform the following:

1. Remove key from ignition with all four doors closed.

2. Select desired memory profile 1 or 2.

3. Press and release the Set (S) button on the memory seat switch, then press and release button 1 or 2. "Memory Profile Set" (1 or 2) will be displayed in the on the EVIC.

4. Press and release the Lock button on the transmitter within 10 seconds.

NOTE STEP ONE......

The key word is remove... You have to have had the key in the ignition for the EVIC to work.

And yes, it worked for me.

Thanks Mighty Max for the post with the instructions with the Yellow Card. I did not recieve it and have spent about 30 minutes fooling with it. Folks do exactly what was stated and you will not have any problems.

I'm back to square one on this bloody memory thing. I understand the sequence but I have to ask this. Do you put your seat, pedals and steering wheel in the position you want BEFORE you take your key out and do the mentioned sequence? This car is driving me nuts or else I am too stupid to get it. HELP!!!!

I feel your pain Mikeyjohn. I gave up on the memory seat feature and am satisfied with the steering wheel moving on exit. Programing the keys is essential. The proceedure above is the trick.

Good Luck
