Horray!

Good news. I finally got a VON number. I'm 133xxxxx. Now, I just have to wait to get it.. No estimate on time yet. I tired to log into the website that this link directed me to:

http://www.dodgemagnum.net/phpBB2/vehicle_tracker.php

However, it isn't working. Does anyone know of any other site that Chrysler has that allows you to check your order status? Thanks!!

Not to bore with the details, but the dealer where I was test driving the cars wouldn't order a car for me in mid-May. He didn't have the C color/options I wanted and he was charging $3k over MSRP. When told him I would place an order at MSRP he said he couldn't do it because he just received notice that Chrysler wasn't excepting new orders, apparently for at least one month or longer.

I live in the San Francisco bay area and there are a lot of dealers and the 4 to 5 dealers I called or visited were all adding $3k to $10k over MSRP back in early/mid-May.
I did a Google search on Chrysler brokers and started corresponding with Carsdirect.com. The way they work is they select one dealer in a regional area and run all their orders through that one dealer. Carsdirect.com uses a Chrysler dealer about 30 miles from where I live and the dealer was not one of the original dealers I called/visited.
Carsdirect.com via this dealer took my order at MSRP and I just received my VIN yesterday. Car will be delivered to the dealer.

So far everything has worked very smoothly and the dealer has been good to work with over the phone/email/fax. I have never been to the dealer's lot and the first time I meet him will be when I pick up my car.

It's strange that you did not get a VON right away. I ordered from a dealer in the SFO via Email and FAX. He sent me the order with a VON and I faxed him approval for a down payment using my credit card. When he entered the order into the computer he gave me a VON. Ordered three weeks ago and he told me to check back mid July for a status update and hopefully a VIN.

Question Order Status Question

I called in today to the Chrysler hotline (??) to see what the status of the order is. I'm in the BX status. Does anyone remember how long it took to get out of BX and into C? Does it depend on the car and options? Thanks for the help!

I went from BX to C in about 3 weeks. My guess is you will be scheduled for next month, so you will be C next week ot two. BTW, I ordered May 24th and they started building this week. I'm in framing as of today. You can see my progression here.

My dealer said the first Wednesday of each month is when the cars are scheduled. So my guess you will move from BX to D/D1 August 3 or 4th.
But who knows, I am only repeating what I heard.
I was in BX until July 6 when I went to D(or D1). If I was in C, it may have been for a couple of days at the most.

I ordered my cool vanilla 300c "fully Loaded" at the end of april. I did get a green sheet employee discount . (Thanks to a special friend) and got 1000 off for chrysler loyalty and another 1000 off for chrysler financing .

my VON is 12952184

Thanks,

Mike Willson
You need to have a VIN first Mike to be able to track your car.
