Check engine light wont go off..

took it to the dealer and the put the machine on the car and said the code had to do with the fact i changed the tires and rims..That confused me a lil.. then they said i might of opened the fuel cap with the car on.. so they reset it and it came right back on 25 mins later.. Any suggestions on what is the problem because obviously the dealer has no idea...was told dont worry as long as it dont turn red.. not the answer i was looking for.. thanks

Did they tell what code was being thrown by the odbII? If not here is how to get the code to display in the car.

1. Make sure the doors are closed.
2. This has to be done pretty quickly...
3. Put the key in and
Turn key to ON
then back to ACC
then to ON
then back to ACC
then to ON

If there is a code it will show up on the display screen after those steps between the tach and speedo. When you get the code post it here and we can tell ya what it means.

Hey will .....I did what you said and it came up with the code 110c.. so if you have any idea what that is I would be greatful...

i didnt see any other letter when i did it,.. i am going to try again. i chked the list and didn't see that code.. thanks guys 4 the help.. ill get back at you later.

There's a U110C on p. 9.......something about no fuel level bus message recieved.
