I paid MSRP. First dealer offered me $10K for my 2000 Escalade. Second, and final dealer, gave me $14,400 which was KBB good condition. I don't understand why a dealer thinks someone will trade a car for $4k less than KBB.

CoolV... They are exploiting people who are uneducated, and/or on that emotional high we all get when we buy a new toy. It may not be right, but you protect yourself by going in smart and strong. My dealer explained to me that my car, KBB $5,600 would sell fast in my area. He looked it over, saw the condition and offered me $7,000. He knew he would make money on the car. He sold it the day after they prepped it and put it out. We also paid $1,500 below sticker (friends and family/rebate). Not all dealers are bad guys!

You should have got more off than "$1,500 below sticker" for Friends & Family (FFP). FFP is 1% under invoice.

Oh, I guess you are admitting you are one of the those scumbags that want to take advantage of us. Please list the name of your dealer so we can make sure that we never go to you whether we are looking for a hot car or not. I dare you.
