An odd floormat question

I ordered a set of "premium" floormats from my Chrysler dealer for the 300C. They are very nice and have the Chrysler winged logo on them. The rear floormats however are not the same size. One is about an inch and a half shorter in one dimension and about a half inch shorter in the other dimension.

Sine I don't yet have my car I can't tell whether this is the way the factory mats are or if this is some manufacturing anomaly. Could someone compare the sizes of their two rear mats and report back? Thanks. Much appreciated..

Rear floor mats are exactly the same size. What you have probably is an aberation and probably should be returned for a replacement.

That's true; but what I think the man was asking is whether the two rear mats should be the same size or not with each other. They should.

The two (left & right) rear floormats are not the same size! I believe the Drivers side is shorter because the Seat rails are longer because the drivers seats move back further than the Passenger seat.

Noticed yesterday while cleaning the interior the rear floormats are sized differently to accomodate the different attachment points for the front seats. It is subtle, but there IS a right side and wrong side for the rear mats.

Yes - I am comparing the two rear floor mats. One is smaller than the other. Thanks Kev, for checking before I sent them back. I thought that would be a pretty weird defect for an item that is mass produced. Miles Hoover, can you confirm by checking again, are yours really the same size (I'd like the decision to be unanimous - right now its a 1/1 tie)?

Thanks Lwood, I appreciate the confirmation. I've never seen a car that had the right and left rear floormats differently sized, but I guess the wonders of the 300 are boundless!

I'm wrong.

Yes, there really are a left and right rear floor mat of slightly different sizes; it is even stamped in the rubber mat base on the underside as LEFT and RIGHT.

Sorry or as the Japanese say, "Gomen asahi."
