Crap in Calgary

This is my first venture back to a domestic product after driving high end imports for 10 yrs. 300C with lots of aftermarket wheels tires etc.
Fantastic car - handles excellent with 245's all round on 20'rims - tight and responsive - lots of juice. To the guys in the factory & design engineers - well done. Unfortuately the dealerships and service guys are dropping the ball - absolute crap to be blunt.
Car incurred attempted break in and lock was pulled out of front door and rear damaged. Taken to Renfrew for repair - two weeks and car is returned to me with overspray all over hood, roof, & trunk. Resolved by power buffung car. Side Chrome pillar post damaged and had to be replaced, ///renfrew calls and says cant find exact match where did I buy the car - must take a genius to look at the dealer plate on trunk!! I am then told to call Aidrie Chrysler where it was bought and tell them to contact Renfrew for PO#. Called Aidrie and was told they dont call other dealers or deliver parts to other dealers so come pick the up. Drove over wrong ones in stock had to go back twice and waited 4 weeks for new pillar posts to arrive - installed myself.
Changed to Crowfoot for service - oil change // car returned with dealership plate ripped off trunk and adhesive left on trunk and scratches from zipper on coat to newly painted driver door - Manager "shouldnt happen ,cant explain" Not one of these visits followed by service questionaire. So you guys looking for five star service its just BS.
Great car but will dump when lease is up or before and go back to service I was used to. Hope those that read have better experience.
Advice to Chrysler is get dealers to get their act together your only as strong as the sum of your parts.

Sorry to hear about your experiences with the so called 5 star dealers. If its any consolation to you, the new Chrysler LLC hears you too. Hopefully it's not too late to change your mind about being a repeat Chrysler customer.

Starting in January, Chrysler will be launching its "Customer First Credo". I posted this article this morning - Chrysler LLC REALLY is Serious About Customer Service!. I believe this is what you are trying to say. Let's give them a chance to see just how serious they are about this.

To me it sounds promising and I will be purchasing an 08 Jeep GC SRT8 in the New Year. I also expect to be amongst the first to be getting one of these calls.

For me personally, I've always had a good experience with my dealer. It may be just a case of you finding a genuine 5 star dealer in your area. Once you do, you'll know it!!!

It's sad but true - often the dealer experience is the weak link in owning this car. Complaints about dealer attitude and incompetence are all too frequent on this forum.

I am very fortunate here in Ottawa. I have cultivated an exxcellent relationship with the service manager at Metro dodge Chrysler and all 3 of my LX vehicles have had nothing but the best of service, given with an attitude that keeps me coming back!

For warranty work you are of course stuck with the Chrysler dealer's service department; but for repairs and routine maintenance that you pay for (such as both of the examples you gave) you definitely DO NOT have to use a Chrysler dealership! Why not go to a good independent repair facility; in my experience you are much more likely to get satisfactory or even outstanding service from an independent shop. At least in my case the 300C hasn't required much in the way of warranty repairs. It would be terrible to give up on such a fantastic car just because the dealer is lousy.

Calgary Dealers

Hi RC Speedy,

When you're back online get hold of me and I can point you towards a good dealer here in Calgary.
I can be reached on my cell at 651-0888. Same area code as yours.

I feel where your coming from. But calgary right now is not a consumer market when it comes to service. I am an advisor at a dealership here in calgary (not chrysler) and deal with alot of BS from customers who think they know about their vehicle than a tech who has 15 years + exp. We are all dealing with staffing problems. Good help is hard to find. Body shops are booking mid April right now. I only take the 300 to the dealer ship when theres something i cant do myself. I helps when I can use a hoist at work.

I never had good luck at renfrew, moved to crowfoot but still not satisfied.

....same problem with dealers in Lethbridge...A tonne of attitude cause I bought the car from the U.S. ...Its bullsh!t, in my opinion they are being spitefull and I have yet to have a good dealing with any 5 star yet. Well, minus the Lincoln dealership where they are nothing but happy, polite and helpful. At the 5 stars here I wanna pull the guy over the counter and smack him one...... not that it would help my situation ,other than to make me feel better!Oh, and same with BMW, tried to get an appointment in Calgary and they told me 4 month wait....wtf is that? Do these idiots know that we are on the internet, and that consumers are a lot more svvy then they used to be? We have more options now and dealers are not stepping up.I even tried to buy local but they wanted $8,000 more for the same car with similar kilometers!!! That is NOT a typo.....
