3.5L V6 issues

hey there. bought my 06 300limited a few months ago, and have had some issues

one code that keeps comin up (engine light) is a "multiple cylinder missfire"

and when this thing trips the car runs like a harley. really rough idle, stumbling acceleration, especially between the speeds of 80km to 110km.

if u keep accelerating hard thru that speed, while its shaking like a mofo, the check engine light will flash, and ding...then when u let up, it just stays on solid.

any ideas? dealer says that rotating the valves doesnt actually do anything to correct the tsb thats out right now. and its only getting progressively worse. please help. i wanna show the dealership how to do their jobs.

well i had the exact same issue about 1 month ago. The code was p300, and they did the valve rotation and cleaning and the problem is resolved. According to chrysler (i no expert in mechanics) they say that the car has to rev over 3500 rpm for the valves to rotate. If they don t rotate then there is carbon build up which cause the cylinder misfires. Hope this helps

"But officer, I have to blow the carbon off my valves regularly to keep the engine running right."

i dunno what u mean man, but if ure tryin to slam me for buyin a v6, i dont wanna hear it. im jus askin for input.

for anyone else who actually gives a sh*t, the dealership sent my heads out to a cylinder shop, they ported and polished em, as well as the valve turning and polishing of the heads of the valves, and the motor runs 100 times better than it did new. n warrantee covered it. sumn to do with the carbon sticking to the roughness of the ports. who knows.

As I was reading this I had the same thought. The only thing I can see is an edited post. Seems like the problem is fixed now though, so all's well.
