Pink fluid beneath 300C

My 300C is a low mileage model. I am only driving it in good weather. With lots of rain and freezing rain and now snow in St. Louis, it sits covered in my garage, protected from the elements. Two weeks ago, my son put is first baseball through a window of our garage and it busted out a pane in the bay occupied by the 300. When the repair guy came to replace the glass, I pulled out the 300 and moved it to bay 1. Later that night, when I moved it back to it's normal spot, I noticed about 1/4 cup of pink fluid in bay 1 that either came from the rear end of my Dodge Ram or the front end of my 300C. Inspecting the floor beneath where the 300 usually sits disclosed that another 1/4 cup or less of the pink stuff was there too. Therefore, pink fluid is dripping from the front end of my 300, directly in the middle of the engine area. I put newspaper down to monitor the problem. I called dealer and asked him what it could be, and he told me it could be brake fluid, tranny fluid, steering fluid or radiator coolent--pink is the new "green". The short start and stop of the car from one bay to the other seems to have had the most cause for the leak/over run. I drove it all day yesterday and got no warning lights or problems.

I would like to wait to have this looked at the next time I need an oil change unless the newspaper under the car shows me that it's purging itself pretty good. Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks.

I had the same problem with my 2007 300C (had about 5200 miles on it), took it to the dealer and the problem was solved so far - it's been about 3 weeks and no more fluid dripping.

This is an extremely common, and minor problem. Any dealer will know about this and have the parts in stock. Supposedly improved parts, and there haven't been many (any?) reports of a second failure on this forum. I had this problem a little over a year ago at 5800 miles; took my car in before work and was able to pick it up at lunch time.

As long as you are under 36,000 miles this will be covered under warranty.

To once again try to clear up misconceptions about TSB's: First of all yes the same TSB applies, HOWEVER if your car has this problem, it does not matter whether or not there is a TSB addressing it. TSB's are not recalls; they are simply information for the dealership service department to quickly identify and repair known problems. So if your transmission is leaking and your car is under warranty, then it's a covered repair. If you are out of warranty, then you have to pay for it, even though there is a TSB.

Just had this problem occur on my 06 C yesterday. It's going in to the dealership on Thursday (the guy that normally does this type of work is on vacation until then). Being as though I have 35,90+ miles, looks like I'll be driving the beater for a couple of days as not to go over the warranty miles.
