Parking sensor failure

Hi.
My 300C sedan was recently in a minor accident. Only slight front passenger sise panel damage that required some bashing and painting.
The repairer removed the rear bumper to paint the side of the car, and since then, they have not been able to get the parking sensors to work. The unit has power because when I select reverse, 2 pairs of red lights appear in the distance meter. The wiring is correct and the fuse is good.
Is there a calibration or enable procedure for the sensors after the battery is reattached?

Thanks.

I read through the Service Manual and there is nothing mentioned about calibration. Don't have any suggestion except take the car to the dealer.

OPERATION
The Park Assist Sensors:
² Generate ultrasonic pulses when triggered by the Park Assist Module.
² Reception/filtering of ultrasonic energy received.
² Signalling the module of received ultrasonic pulses that meet threshold criteria.
The sensors are supplied power by the module. The sensor supply is enabled when the sensor function is necessary.
The sensors detection length from the rear of the vehicle is 0.3 meters to 1.5 meters. This area extends around the rear side of the vehicle. The sensor detection height from the ground is 0.2 meters to about 1.5 meters.
² Ensure that the rear bumper (sensors) is free of dirt and debris to keep the system operating properly.
² Jackhammers, large trucks, and other vibrations could affect the performance of the system.
² Ensure that the parking brake is not applied.
If “Service Park Assist System” appears in the EVIC after making sure the rear bumper is clean, proceed to diagnose the system using a scan tool and the appropriate diagnostic information.

I don't think bashing is the protocal for repairs these days. Hope it all looks good as new!

Anyway, sorry to hear about your mishap and welcome to the 300cforums!

Thanks guys.

EVIC displays "service park assist". The repairer sent a specialist audio/NAV installer who also installs and repairs parking sensors and cameras, and he couldn't see any wiring or connection problems. He agreed it may need the diag tool to sort it out but he's going to contact Chrysler to see if there is a reset sequence.

Great forum btw. I can't believe how hot some of the rides are.
