GSM Intro wheel leaks on christmas!

i was out with the family going to the inlaws for christmas with the kids and then the low tire pressure warning came on! with no spare and not much to work with on christmas but presents i got the car to my inlaws just a few miles away filling the tire up with the stock compressor. after i got there i used soap water and found it wasnt the tire but the 3 piece wheel itself!
damit.

so with nothing else to do i left it at my inlaws and borrowed their old van to get the family home.

i emailed GSM and Intro Wheels, the manufacture today and will call tomorrow to find out what i need to get it fixed. Being in Hawaii i am almost sure i will Fedex the wheel out tomorrow hoping for a quick turn around.

just wondering if anyone else had a problem like this?

Not yet... and haven't heard of anyone else. Let me know what you find out.... but you'll probably have to call them (Intro) and send them the wheel.

Keep us posted!

hmmmmmmm........Ive been thinking about going with the GSM wheels to save weight.........but this has always scared me........especially on the srt8s with no spare!!!!

keep us updated on how fast the fix is and their customer service.........this might solidify me to go with the vossen light weight 1 piece wheel.......

Cracked!

I just had the tire taken off and the GSM Intro Wheel is cracked! I talked to Scott from GSM and he was very helpful and said to send it back to Intro directly and they will determine if it is going to be warrentied. I hope so since they were forged and very good quality, and I barely had 2000 miles on them. I don't think anyone else has had a problem with these wheels and many people use them everyday and even race with them. My car stays garaged and actually gets used only 1 or 2 days a month. I think is just was a bad wheel and just a rare case. I also spoke to Bryan of Intro and he said he will look at it and get it resolved. Both Bryan and Scott were very assuring and responded very quickly. Very good customer service! I didnt get a chance to take any pics because i was in such a rush to get it sent off, but I will keep everyone updated of the results.

Still the best wheel!

I have editted my last post because it sounded sort of negative. I don't want to give the impression that these wheels are bad. They are in my opinion the best wheels out there! They are very light, strong, and the quality of the finish is superb. The shop here in Hawaii that removed the tire even had good comments on how well the chrome work was. The quick help from both GSM and Intro makes it even more satisfying to own. Although I had a problem, it is rare with these wheels, and I am sure the resolution will be good in the end. It was just at a bad time (Christmas Day) with my family, to have any kind of problem.

I agree... keep us posted on the customer service/warranty aspect.

Thanks.
