Buying from a local dealer is easiest, but my local dealers always charge MSRP or higher. So for expensive parts I have bought from this website.

World Parts Express

The Service Manual shows an inner and outer tire rod. This website doesn't show an inner tie rod, only a "tie rod end".
I am guessing, but maybe the tie rod end includes the inner tie rod.

I have read on the net, that the tie rods have been in short supply for some reason (OEM at least), and take about 2 weeks. I hope your dealer, or an online dealer (try mopar_supercenter give them a call as they don't show the OEM stuff online, as far as I can tell, and have real good customer service and reviews. They are one of the largest dealers on the net...) can help. Don't know if rockauto.com sells them, but how about NAPA or other local parts stores?

One thing that I've found in talking to customers that come into the shop I work at is that the tie rods on our cars tend to wear out rather quickly. Napa and CarQuest Auto parts are two good places to check for the inner tie rod.

If your car is under warranty then you should be able to get them to replace it. My sister had hers replaced on her LX

yeah, if the dealer can get the part... good. I have read lately here and other places that they seem to be on backorder ot otherwise take 2 weeks to get in.

If they want to replace the whole rack and pinion since its available... good deal. As long as its free and quick!

Anyone have NAPA part numbers for the parts?

I may be wrong but Im going to guess they are on backorder everywhere because they fail so much that supply cant keep up with demand.
