Electronic Throttle Control + Malfunction

I have a 2006 HEMI 300C with about 7000 miles in it. I just moved overseas and because of the move, the car wasn't used for 2.5 months. Now when I turn on the power, the Electronic Throttle Control and Malfunction lights are on (not blinking). When I start up the car, the lights go away. What could be causing the problem: long period of not using the car or different type of gas (89 previously, now 90-91)? I'd appreciate any ideas about the problem before taking the car to the dealer since I'm not sure if the warranty of a US car is valid in Europe.

If the lights going away upon start up that is normal operation. If they were to stay on after you started the car up then you would have a problem.

They stay on until ignition. After the engine is started they go away. Is that still normal?

Sounds perfectly normal. Upon switching the ignition switch to "ON" all instrument panel lights should light up. This is to enable you to check for inoperative bulbs. Then after starting the engine they should all extinguish within a few seconds. Any that stay on (except the BRAKE light which will go off after releasing the emergency brake, or the seatbelt symbol which will go off when you "buckle up") are an indication to have that issue checked.

The operation of the instrument panel indicator lights is thoroughly discussed in the owner's manual.
