Mygig Harness

I bought a new 2008 300 in November of 07. The car was loaded but I wanted the Mygig unit in it and the dealer said not problem they would stick one in. After they installed it none of the voice activation features nor the uconnect worked. They took it back in and ordered a new wiring harness for it. After the harness came in I got a call from the dealer that it was a harness problem but Chrysler did not have a harness developed for after factory Mygig installation. According to what the dealer is telling me it would take a complete new wiring harness to make it work without this after factory modified adapter harness that Chrysler is coming out with. Now they are saying it may be March before they release one. Has anyone else heard of or run into this?

Did you have voice activation on your previous head unit? MyGIG uses a separate connector for the microphone input - it is not part of the main harness. If you vehicle does not have the microphone already in it, then that is probably the problem.

I have the microphone. The dealer installed it when they installed the MyGig.
