Well, these guys don't sound like the guys that will admit their mistake. Its the Dub's +2 word against theirs that these instructions were given. So, when you sign the service agreement when you drop the car off, and you are giving them these instructions, it is a very good idea to write it down on that agreement. Its harder to deny what's written than what was said verbally. You may be surprised to find out that the service agreement may give the dealership authorization to proceed with repairs, so in the end it will be the agreement's written authorization vs a verbal claim not to proceed.

Makes sense. Still blows on his end to have to deal with snakes like that.

Yeah thanks guys, I had file an complaint with BBB. I think it was the service manager, whom i talked too. He had very little experience in being a good customer service and even gave me a attitude. Ill talk to the General manager this week.

If they plugged ahead and did the work and MAP wouldn't cover it then they made the mistake. What they're doing is covering up that they made a poor decision to move on with your work regardless of the final word from MAP. BBB is a good start for the local shop. Making the phone call Rambit said to make might help too. The manager you talked to was the service manager or the general manager? If it was the service manager, have a face-to-face talk with the general manager. He might not be aware of the service manager's lack of attention to your problem.

Not many warranties cover maintenance. The tranny flush and diff service were not needed, but you authorized them. My 300 has been to the dealer ONE TIME -- for the transmission o-ring recall. Otherwise, she goes to a shop I've been dealing with for a long time. I do my own oil changes.
