Water in my trunk - any help?

I found 3 gallons of water in my trunk. Shorted some fuses. Carpet is soaked on both sides of the spare tire well.

I have seen a couple of threads for similar problem but no one has identified a solution.

Does anyone know of a comon problem and its source? I'll be bring it to the dealer this week.

Try running water over the rear area of the car with a hose. Make sure the inside roof of the trunk is dry before starting. If there is a leak you should be able to spot it by seeing where the water is sneaking in.

Check the seals around the trunk.
You may have alos left the trunk open a bit by accident.

However, as mentioned above if you have warrenty (bumper to bumper) take it in because of the electrical issues that came around.

Leak can be from 2 places ,Rear glass window seal or most likely rear tail light assemble not sealing against body.
