They are automatically adjusting with an automatic rain sensor. They don't have to be left on when it isn't raining.

Turn them off when not in use. It is as easy as that.

Just because you don't leave them on doesn't mean their purpose is now useless.

What did you do before they had rain sensing wipers? After all the whole purpose to them is so you wont have to adjust the speed when its raining NOT so that you dont have to turn them off and on, thats just lazy

I leave mine off and when it rains, turn them on and have no problems.

If I'm not mistaken, the owners manual says to not use Rain X on the windshield as this will mess with the auto wipers. I don't know if it makes them more or less sensitive but that's what it says.

RainX Is pointless on a vehicle with automatic wipers.

That, and they blind you with smearing when you use your wipers at night with oncoming headlights.

Never use RainX, it is a driving hazard that almost lead me to having a headon collision due to being blinded by the smearing.

I love RainX, I didnt realise how good it was till I drove from ontario to virginia during the night and it was raining extremely hard the whole way down. I didnt have an issue with smearing or streaking, I had perfect vision. Hell i didnt even have to put the wipers past the lowest speed, the water was just rolling off. The reason you may have had issues is from the way you put it on. 1) clean the windshield properly on both sides. Then sit inside the car looking out, try and look for any streaks or smears or anything not so clean (should be crystal clear. 2) once completely clean then put on the rainX (i use 3 coats) (and dont spray on the glass, spray on the towel) 3) Then buff in the little haze it leaves and your good (they say you can pour some water over it at the end to get rid of the haze. If you follow that you shouldnt have any issues what so ever. And with my rain sensors and rain x I find the wipers have to works less
