The manual says they will only move back if they have a certain amount of travel left. (don't recall how much)
For instance, I'm 6' 1", and have the seat almost fully back. There is still a small amount of travel left, but it doesn't go back.
My other half is 5'6", so a bit of a short ar$e, the seat will retract when she gets out.

Have you tried moving the seat into a position other than your driving position, and trying to lock and unlock the car??

Run the seat all the way forward then all the way back and press s. It needs to relearn. I was messing around one day waiting for my wife to come out of a store and put the seat all the way back. When it brought it back to where I sit it would no longer move when turned off. After some research I learned it needed to relearn since I went all the way back but not all the way forward.

We have a 2005 300C that did the same thing. I took it to the dealer and the service tech hooked up a handheld computer and reprogramed the seat. The best part was he didn't charge to do it!

ok i tried to reset the set the way you told me with no luck. its funny the memory set works fine if you hit the button on the door and everything moves. the mirror the seat and the steering wheel all move but not when you remove the key. the seat is set to half way so there plenty of room for the seat to move back. but nothing moves i read in the owners book to hold the s button and move the seat in rev and reset as well with no luck. looks like on going to have to bring it in to be looked at. sad part is i use to work for a chyrsler dealer till they got shut down lol

I think the forward/back thing works, but if you hit S when its back, won't it save it there?

I did this right when I got my car and there is a more detailed thread about how to reset it here somewhere. But it is as simple as forward/back or back/forward.

I'll see if I can find it.

Here is the thread I used. Seat postion on EXit problem

Basically says the same thing, so I don't know if it will help. All the way forward, all the way back, then move it to where you want it and set it.

Good luck.
