Weird Warning Lights--Help, please!!! (Moved)

It happens at no particular time--engine cold, engine hot--stopped at a traffic light or on the interstate at 70 mph. First the ESP/BAS warning lights up then a second or two later the Throttle plate warning light comes on and flashes. The engine runs rough until I turn off the engine and restart. Any ideas?

Stunned--and disappointed

I'm stunned--and disappointed--that no one has even taken a guess about my problem. I know most of you know a lot more than I do.

your thread might have gotten pushed off the new posts page, a lot of us only go there..

as for the warning lights.. the ESP/BAS light can be a host of things, but IMO i might be a loose ground wire, might want to check the front ground posts on the passenger side strut tower and in the trunk at the battery. I'd start there.

other things that cause the ESP/BAS light are loose or damaged wheel sensors.

could also be a hic-cup in the computer system, which in most cases pulling the negative battery cable for about 10 minutes to clear the memory and reset.

Thanks Mr I--I knew if anyone had some knowledge of this it would be you. I'll check the grounds and see if that works. After that if it doesn't work--off to the stealership.-- Rob
