Rear right suspension noise (Moved)

Hello, I recently noticed a clunking noise coming from the right suspension at the rear of my car. I went to the dealer and they said that I have to replace the whole arm... I am not a mechanic, it sounded strange to me that the issue is so important, the car is still new. Anyone has an idea about that strange noise? Thank you in advance for answers..

Rear clunking is not very common on new cars that are not modified.
It is hard to diagnosis a clunking noise on a forum.
Just let the dealer do their thing. It is all free under your warranty.

I had a clunking noise on the right rear of my 2007. With the radio off and windows up, it was faint but noticeable. Turned out to be the shock absorber, which the dealer replaced under warranty. Now 10,000 miles later, the sound is coming back. Still under warranty though, so I guess I'll be going back to the dealership to get it fixed again.
