Locked Keys In Car/ Trick to Unlock?

so yesterday i was tinting the windows, which i messed up again! Clearly i suck when it comes to the back window and heatshrinking. So i started pulling it off, along with the other windows...

Well apparently i hit the lock button (driver side) when rolling up the windows and of course the door had to close on me with the radio on....

So there i was walking around my car trying each door to finaly surrender to the fact I LOCKED MY KEYS IN THE CAR!
(not to mention my phone, wallet and ipod was in there )

Luckily had a spare set, so i had to get a 35min ride to my apartment because i was over a friends house. So figured to share my story and say i had a bad day yesterday.

So does anyone know of a trick to unlocking a car besides carrying around a slimjim or calling a tow service or AAA?

My friend the other day locked the keys in a jeep while running but the hood was open and he was able to pull a fuse which shut it off and unlocked the car.

Didnt know if there was any other special method.
Also can we have a copy of our keys made, where they copy just the key part to be able to unlock the doors? Should be just a normal double-cut key right?

Key

I carry a flat key for both my cars in my pocket at all times, for just that purpose. The alarm will go off when you unlock the door with a flat key, but you can turn it off once you have the regular key.

Here's a trick. Your spare key fob needs to be with someone you can call with a cell phone. Then while standing next to your car with that cell phone, call the person who has the spare key fob and have them hold the spare key fob to their telephone and press the button to open the door. The door will unlock!
I haven't tried this with my Chrysler, but it worked with my wife's Equinox.

Put both of your cell phones on Speakerphone if you can. I've tried this before with varied results. Seemed best with speakerphone on, if it works at all.
Good luck!

Are you pulling my leg? How can the cell phone deliver the signal to the car's mechanism? are the frequencies all synchronized?

No lie, it worked on my Audi. I was shocked. I was Sure I was getting screwed with. The other method is find a nearby brick. FWIW, a new driver front window is roughly 200 installed at your home from safelite.
