Squeaking, Creaking Seats

Is anyone else having a problem with their seats making noise? I have a Touring and every time I accelerate, or go over crest or through a dip, or generally move around in my seat, a creaking noise is quite obvious. I hear it a bit with the passenger seat as well.

I've let it go for a couple weeks, thinking that the seats might just need breaking in. I've got 5,000 miles on the car.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, did you find a fix, or was the dealer able to? By biggest concern is that my dealer will try to tell me to just ignore the sound.

Hi Christian. Well, like you, I too have a '300 Touring' model. Although my car is now over eight months old, I still have only half the mileage that yours has. About the only creaking I ever hear comes from my old and decrepit bones, but that's all. The dashboard periodically makes the inherent cracking/popping sound (as if a rock hit the windshield), that so many other '300 series' owners appear to be experiencing, but I believe that DCX has addressed the issue. I can honestly say that about the only 'real problem' I've experienced with my car is a sudden 'lunging' problem at stoplights...whether the car is cold or even after it has warmed-up. Although this particular problem appears to be intermittent, it is sudden and shocking nonetheless. A few other '300 Touring' owners have also experienced this particular problem as well, and hopefully DCX will eventually do something about it.

Yeah man I've had a loud driver seat basically since new. Some days are better than others. I have never been able to isolate or stop the noise.
