Midwest/Northern gathering would be great. Those are always fun. I used to have those with the www.mp3car.com people. Group of people who integrate custom computers into our vehicles. I probably will not do much in that way of the 300C, but my Durango has a 11.4" touch screen below the radio and air controls and such. Runs moving map GPS, 6500 Mp3's, DVD, TV, Internet Access, custom interface, etc. (I will add headrest 8" screens, DVD/TV, and convert the main navigational screen to be able to show DVD and TV and such as well, just probably no PC...we will see though.)

JLC - Don't cancel your current order. Just order a new one and see which ones come first. Who ever comes in first gets your sale, the other order you cancel and they will give you your deposit back if you had to make one. Tell them you could not wait any longer. They will not really mind because they can get another C faster than if they did not have a SALE and then they just sell on the lot for good money!

Take Care
Nathan

I started at the local - 7k markup (would have been less), and MSRP for a factory order and 2 mo. wait...I said no thanks (they also tried to slam me into one)
I searched the inventory of every Chrysler dealer in the state, until I found one their website with the color and options I wanted, found it. Turns out - it would be off the truck in 3 weeks and it was not sold. They called me the day it came in, said it would be there at 4pm off the truck - I said have it ready by 8 - they did, done deal, and at MSRP. I drove 200 miles for it - and my local 5 star will service the warranty. If they give me crap about not purchasing from them (he did ask, I said no, and his quick reply was "no problem". and in fact, all the sales crew was out checking out my EG Grill) - you give them less than 5 stars on the survey.
Both dealers I've dealt with - sales and service - want the 5 stars on the survey and will go out of their way to make sure you rate them 5 star.

Just got off the phone with DCX and one of my dealers. The car I have on order with a VON# is now in BG status. DCX has Nav and sunroof issues. The other car I have on order with no VON# still has not been placed since 7/10/04 the dealer has more orders than allocation. They said maybe next month an order could be placed based on allocation. That would put me at three month before my order gets placed. Either way I look at it I'm at square one. I have one dealer who hasn't placed an order becuase they don't have enough allocation and another who has placed an order with no allocation. Even though they've given me a VON# the car won't go to D status until they have allocation. I'm calling that dealer to check on their allocation status.

Thanks for the info...guess this answers (in part) my thread about another sunroof hold.

Unhappy

My dealer has never said anything about allocation, but that sounds like my problem. My calls to DCX don't help much. Sometimes they won't tell my anything other than to call my dealer. All the dealer ever says is BX status - should be here before long. No doubt I am getting the runaround. Nonetheless, I placed my order in good faith and I think that confirmed orders should come first. Another dealer did tell me that they put ghost names on orders just to get them. Somehow this doesen't seem fair to legitimate customers.

Ordered 5/19 - still in BX
Black, sunroof, sound group II

I called DC today and I must say the service was a surprise. No wait to talk to a live person and the lady on the other end was very nice and helpful. Anyways, my car order was placed on August 9th and yesterday the dealer gave me the vin and I was told today that my car had a build date of Sept 27th. She also told me that it should take 2 weeks from the build date for my car to arrive at the dealer. Im hoping i get my 300c by mid oct.

Found three black C's on a dealer's lot about fifteen miles away. Will probably cancel my original order that is still in BX after 16 weeks if I can get one of them. I don't need the nav, blue tooth, etc. but may have to take them just to get a car. Really only wanted sound group II and sunroof.
