I will assume your dealer had allocation, which would explain the quick deliver.
Hi, I am in New York, I was pleasantly surprised, was quoted the usual 8-12 weeks, but I got lucky, so far.

I talked to someone a few days ago who provided more information than any of my previous calls. She told me that orders with names are given a build priority over dealer allocation orders. But who is to say that dealers don't submit bogus orders.

That is true, but only priority for that dealers orders, not versus other dealers. e.g. If your dealer has 3 named orders and 12 floor orders, the 3 should be built first. However, if the dealer doesn't have allocation, even the 3 will not get built.

It means 'assume the position'. You are getting screwed by allocations, delays, and general BS (like some of the rest of us).

BG is hold for parts; they are out of some of the parts they need to schedule your order; sunroof and nav have been common causes of this. BX: they have parts and your order has no errors, but your dealer does not have an allocation yet. When your dealer gets an allocation, you will go to D and then D1, which is where VIN is assigned and a 'firm' date is scheduled.

So to sum up; grab a chair; it's going to be a while.

Angry

I ordered on July 26 for a fully loaded black 300c. I went from BX to BG last week. Dealer told me that they are back ordered on moonroof, uconnect, navigation, and some other stuff. I stop listening after the first 3 mentioned. Anyone ordered without this options should be getting theirs 300c sooner.

let me give you my story. ordered first one in march 29 got it june 1 wrong color dont want it. they sold it fine order me another and they knocked off another 1000. cool ordered another but order was on hold because of sunroof so my order went in on july 1 its now sept whatever i dont know the date because the waiting has drove me insane i even thought of getting another car but what nothing out there has the power and room for the price. now its been forever and i still dont have my car but the dealer has my 5000 and no dealer has the exact things i ordered in the color i ordered. with an extra 1000 plus the 1000 from chrysler. so i am now in bg because of the nav unit, all i know is this is a poor way to get a exciting car but hey the world isnt fair so what you gonna do. (i pouting right now with steam coming out my head while singing NEVER GOING TO GET IT by envouge.) sorry for ranting.
