Like I posted in my thread, i've waited 10 weeks and my 300C should be arriving next week sometime. I haven't talked to my dealer for over a month now but I will ask him why my 300C is arriving "on time" and others are waiting many weeks when i go in. I think DC should pay more attention to this board and respect buyers who have been waiting months to get there 300C. I know theres a backlog but people who placed orders in July and August should be getting there cars within the time frame dealers have said instead of making them wait for people who are putting orders in the last month or two. I wonder what DC is telling dealers to tell buyers who want to order a 300C now. And honestly if the waiting list goes upto 5 months in Jan 2006 then people will be getting 05's in May around the same time when the 06's will be coming out.

I was told no guarentees but to expect 8-12 weeks. I think I will probably fall into that estimate. My dealer was completely honest and said no guarentees as they can not control it to a point.

I just ordered a 300C on 9/25. At the time I was told that the wait was 8-10 weeks, but if you order the Moonroof option that the wait would be 18 weeks. I had no interest in the Moonroof but there could be a supplier issue that is holding up those type of orders.

My salesman called Friday and said the status on my order is D1, which means they have set a build date. But when I asked my salesman for the date he said Chrysler would not tell him. Wonder why? He expects it to be at least another month. When I order it back on July 31, I was told 8 to 10 weeks.

Once you get to D1 Chrysler automatically creates an estimated ship date. Your dealer isn't taking the time to look it up, or doesn't know how to get it. You can call Chrysler and they will give it to you.

Here is what my dealer emailed me the day (July 26) after my car went to D1.
The info he emailed me is a print out from his online system.
But the D1 estimated ship date wasn't reliable in my case.
I didn't get my C until Aug 26, a few weeks later then the original estimate.

I am taking the attitude that the longer I wait, the better it is going to feel when it arrives. It also helps that while I wait my dealer is loaning me a car for free until the 300C is delivered.
Hey!!! Went to "D1" early last week. Checked today and am now in "F" (Paint) with an estimated ship date of 10/26, tomorrow, on my Cool Vanilla C!!! If all goes well I should see my car arrive at the dealer in a couple of weeks!

Called DCX today and here's the latest. Car (1) order 7/5/04 was canceled as the dealer has not placed an order. They said that they do not have allocation therefore have not placed an order and have not given me a VON#. Car (2) was ordered on 8/10/04 and is in BX status after 10 weeks. The dealer has placed more orders thatn they have allocated. DCX could or would not confirm any other status. Car (3) was orderd on 9/21/04 and is in D status with a schedule build day of 11/08/04. I have a VIN #, but won't believe it till it hits D1 status. Im hoping to have it the end of Nov. or the begining of Dec.

fatchance,

When I went to "D" status DCX gave me 10/26 as the build completion date. They were right on the money. Spoke to them today and it is being assigned a rail car later today. Hopefully your quote of 11/8 is correct. You could have it by Thanksgiving!!

For the love of God, I hope so. This has been going on since 7/05/04 with multiple cars on order. It would be nice just to have it. I'm in So. Cal and I see at least 10 to 12 a week already, Thinking that could be me.
