Here is what my dealer emailed me the day (July 26) after my car went to D1.
The info he emailed me is a print out from his online system.
But the D1 estimated ship date wasn't reliable in my case.
I didn't get my C until Aug 26, a few weeks later then the original estimate.

The salesman called back yesterday and said the delivery date is 11/11, but it may come in sooner. So I'm still being patient.

He also said that if I come in and pay before the end of the month I'd get $1,000 off. I have to finace through Chrysler. I'm thinking he just wants to get another sale before the end of the month.

My car was ordered on Aug 9th and shipped out on Oct 13th. Dealer called tonight and told me the car is ready to be picked up tommorrow. Can't wait to bring my baby home!

Callled DCX today, car(3) ordered on 9/21/04 will be shipped on 11/1/04. I called twice today and got the same answer. Car (2) ordered on 8/10/04 is still in BX with no build date . Car (1) was canceled as the dealer did nothing. I never recieved a VON# because they claim they didn't have allocation.
After starting this process back in the early part of July I can't believe I'll have my "C" in a couple of weeks.

Thats good news Fatchance. My car went into D on the 18th of October and assigned a VIN. They said it should be built the first week in November. Mine should be right behind yours in line.

Called DCX today and My car was shipped 10/31/04. Should be here the 16 or 17. My only problem now is the dealer who tells me "DCX sent out a memo that they would no longer accept F&F or affiliate discounts on the C and the magnum". He's seeing what he can do to honor the price, BS. I put up a post Another Dealer Playing Games with The Price with more details. Hopefully by mid month I finally be driving instead of drooling.

After such a long, unnerving wait excitement wears off. I had ordered a Bright Silver but after 9 weeks DCX was still unable to tell me even the status of my order. DCX customer reps are horrible --with few exceptions. The dealer was of no help either. Frustrated, I ended up canceling my order.

I have been driving only Chryslers pretty much since I learned to drive 22 years ago, but looks like my next vehicle will be an Infiniti G35.
