my dad ordered his c on May 1 and was accepted May 5th. As of today it was getting painted and we should see it at the dealer in 2-3 weeks.

My SRT-8 was built on April 5th.

Still waiting.

2-3 weeks is what the dealer tells you. Add at least another month to that.

But since it's a C it could be on time.

Well - how can I get the status of my order? The only info the dealer gave me was a VON#. I ordered an almost fully loaded 300C AWD almost 6 weeks ago in silver steel metalic. I am concerned that the dealer might sell my car to someone else since they gave me the wrong price on the internet and are supposed to honor it... Can I check with Chrysler on it? I soooo want the car!

Wow, this thread's a blast from the past.

Well, tell me what kind of paper work you have. VON, no VIN? Price on paper with dealer's and your signature? etc...?

Unhappy Have a VON but guess what I just learned

I did get a VON from the dealer and emailed Chrysler yesterday since I was not getting any info from my dealer. I just got an email back from Chrysler saying the the 300C AWD is on "indefinite hold" and the best source of info is from my dealer... can you imagine - my dealer doesn't even respond to me. I am soooo upset - I have been looking forward to this car and here I land in limbo land and minus the heafty deposit in my account. Any idea what indefinite hold means??? Are they having trouble cranking the cars out or are there mechanical issues with the AWD or something?
oh - I have a computer print out of the car and options and had the salesman write on it the out of door price and sign it. - hope this is good enough and won't drive me into small claims court ha!

Update - still no response from my dealer after several emails, it is 7 weeks today and only a VON#. Chrysler has told me the 300C AWD is on "indefinite hold" but my inquiries to the dealer go unanswered. I will have to go there personally but dont expect the response to be much different. I was told to expect a build date about 2 o 3 weeks after I left my deposit and delivery in about 8 or 9 weeks. Lies...

"Wow, this thread's a blast from the past."

You got that right, vvv90. Time flies when you're having fun - I was the second to post on this thread way back in '04. 20, 000 miles and months later the flavor and cowbell is still going strong.

No kidding! The older I get the more time flies too.....hmmm....maybe it's because I'm having more fun the older I get.

Just 6 posts back I was still waiting for my 300.....Here I am today and I've owned it for 8 months now.

The sun is rising out here on the left coast as I logged in, and the first thing I see is Will and the SNL cowbell. Almost spewed my oatmeal on the ol' computer screen - thanks vvv90.
