Thing is, many people want a specific mix of options...in my case I couldn't care less about NAV and Sirius...problem is most dealers around here had ordered cars fully loaded. The other issue is many dealers are willing to cut a better deal than MSRP on ordered cars.

One other thing of importance to me...I want a fresh car right off the truck, not one that 'who knows how many' people have beaten on for a joy/test drive.

Fortunately, here in the northeast they came with a mix of options. Anywhere from $34K - $39K. I did take the nav system to get the color and other options I wanted. Turns out the NAV is a nice addition. Don't think many people had the chance to beat on mine. Still had the plastic on the seats, 10 miles, and the saleman had to get a tech to install some fuse in the box in the trunk since everything wasn't functioning. Appears to have been right off the truck. I did pay MSRP but got a decent deal on my trade. Once I started shopping around I knew there was no way I would have the patience to wait. But I do understand the reasons why some would.

My wait is fairly new. Ordered on Aug. 21, BX status as of Aug. 23.

Wait is worth it. Paid invoice price, and have two great vehicles already. Was not going to get caught up in the hype and pay MSRP or Above for a vehicle. I always pay around invoice.

So long, So long, So long!

Ordered 13 July. Ship Date of 02 Sept.

The wait is driving me crazy! Hopefully this will be my lucky week. For those who've had to wait, what was the length between ship date and pick up?

This is my first post, and I'd like to say thanks to all of the C owners that pass on information.

Well if you have a 300 with NAV on order the wait will get even longer. Just talked to DCX and they told me my car has been put on BG status (ordered on June 15) because the NAV. Don't know the reason for the NAV delays but orders are being pushed out to October.
