Mine works only sporadically. I think if you keep your seat less than 2" to extreme back position to begin with it does not retract when you take out the key. If you change your seat setting manually during driving it will stay in that position and not move back. That's just my unscientific research.
MY steering wheel column adjutment ALWAYS works, however.

Moving

I haven't got my C yet, still in BX. But on my CTS nothing moves until I open the door to exit, just a thought.

maybe that is because it is already in the default "exit" setting hence it would have no need to move.

NCG, I took my 300C in the other day for the same problem. It needed a new seat module. I got the car back today and guess what. The seat wont go back on its own and neither will the steering column! I went through the manual to see if I was freakin out and doing something wrong. It appears that I am doing the right things, I dont get it. I love the new cars from Chrysler, but I still hate their dealerships.

I think I've heard of this problem before. Is anyone/everyone else experiencing problems with their auto-glide seats?

Like anything electronic, stuff happens. But the problem may be as simple as the glide and steering controls not enabled in the EVIC.

Suggest first check the EVIC, Personal Settings and be certain they are enabled. Another reason the glide won't work is that the seat is adjusted too far back. Also, be sure that the settings for the seat, once enabled, must be saved on the appropriate setting switch on the driver's door. Your owner's manual is quite clear on how to do this. But be sure to follow the directions on the yellow addendum for memory controls.

It certainly appears as if your dealer should have reset things properly since apparently that is the reason for the work you had done. Remember, the customer controls their continuance of the 5* rating. Don't be afraid to speak up via the Regional Rep and/or DC itself. They DO listen to valid customer complaints. On the other hand, also be sure where the problem is -- you or them. :^))

As I said, stuff happens to electronics, but suggest you follow what was suggested in the earlier post. Most of the time that covers the problem.

Usually someone forgets to reset the seat, etc., memory.

Miles,
It's them, I went back to the dealer and had about 5 service guys there trying to figure it out, with 3 owners manuals being passed around all of us! They couldn't figure it out so I'm taking it back in after they fix one of the other cars on the lot that has the same problem. They are going to use that as a guinea pig, then call me when they figured it out. I have to say, this dealer I think will be my new favorite spot. They treated me great when I went back in. They were more than polite and helpful, sometimes you just have to be understanding that they can only do what they know to do, and on a new model we all have to work together to figure these things out!
