Drivers seat glide on exit

Hey all. Great forum lots of good info thanks!!! My Blue Beauty doesnt seem to want to comply with the seat reversing...gliding back on exit. How is this feature supposed to work? Seems like sometimes it will do it others just the tilt wheel moves and others nothing happens. Just throwin it out there if anyone else has had this or fixed it.

Do you use both key fobs? Have you programmed both?

Mine has worked flawlessy since I set it up in the EVIC.

Depending on how far the seat is back, it may not move. I beleive it needs about 2" of play. It will move for my wife's settings, but not mine.

Do you have the seat cranked all the way back? I'll say mine doesn't move 2".

I just got the key fobs to work after reading other posts on this. Do I need to do something else now in the EVIC system to get the seat glide to work? The seat is not all the way back. Ive already checked this out. Sometimes the steering column moves...other times nadda.

My dealer is a great JEEP dealer. 5 Star dealer etc. etc. He dosent sell too many other Chrysler products though. He gave me a great deal I think...300C w/ every option except... 1 wood trim (I liked the Tortoise Shell Better) 2 Cold weather pckg. and 3 smkrsg grp out the door with no trade $32,400.00. I ordered it on 5-1-2004 and took posession 7-29-2004. He doesnt see this car often so I need to educate him I think. Any advice to pass on is a huge help.

Thumbs down mine does the same...

My glide feature stopped working today...Just up and quit after working for several other trips earlier in the day. To be sure, I took out the owner's manual and tinkered for about an hour just to be sure I wan't being stupid. I'm taking it in tomorrow and leaving it until all issues are corrected (power windows, sunroof, and now the memory seat glide on exit/key fob memory recall.) This car is frustrating the hell out of me.

I have found that if I get in the car start it up, and quickly put the seat belt on or put it in gear before the steering column and seat have moved fully to the "memorized" position the memorized function does not work. I have to hit the memory button on the door the next time I get in the car or put it in park and remove my seat belt and then hit the memory button.

I only noticed this because it seemed when I was in a hurry the steering column was not in the "right" position, I guess its slower to move to the memorized position.

I have not had any problems with the seat/column NOT moving upon exit.
