Seat Glide, Key Memory Problems

Glide feature on drivers seat and memory feature on key stopped working even though (evic) display shows features are ON. Anyone experience similar problem and or have a fix?

How do you make your seat go back automatically upon exit?

I followed the instructions in the manual but could not get it to work. If I remember right you are supposed to hold down the set button on the driver side door for the seat memory and then hold the seat backwards button at the same time but mine does not work. Any help guys?

Hit the menu button on the steering wheel (upper compass) and scroll until you get to the seat exit screen and click the left arrow button to on, I just figured this out this morning among many other settings including turning off the horn when locking, rain sensor, lights on with the wipers, auto lock, headlight delay, etc.etc. Why don't ALL cars have personal settings like this.

You'll have to reprogram trhe EVIC to permit the seat to move back. Somehow, it probably got changed. Another possibility is that the seat is too far back so that it can't move. There is a position in the backward state whereby it will not move backward farther.

the seat didn't move back and steering didn't move up when you turned the key to the off position? Try the menu option again, maybe it didn't get selected.

I just posted this issue in problems Thread. Mine was working for three weeks but just stopped. Its a great feature, I hope someone can solve this so I will not have to take car to dealer for a fix.

I looked at page 95 about the seat glide but I think thats for cars without evic. Try page 158. I did mine through the menu, put key on acc. turned it on with the > arrow on steering wheel ,pulled key out and viola!

My seat goes rearward on exit but my steering wheel remains in the same position. Are you sure yours retracts at the same time as the seat moves rearward?

The wheel moves up and seat slides back at the same time.
