Hello All,

We are proud to say that today we arranged for 300cforum.com member
"300TouringNproud" to be the test fit vehicle for the 3.5L Gibson Exhaust. All is well in his world as he will soon be the proud owner of a FREE EXHAUST.

Anyway, we still need a 3.5L Magnum. First come first serve.

If interested, please let us know ASAP.

John

Hey John, et al.
I just dropped off the car this morning and now the waiting begins. It's only 3 days, but 3 days w/o My Blue Heaven is sooo long. It'll all be worth it.

Just a shameless plug for SoCal MS and Gibson: They're great! Getting all the details squared away with John was a blast. He was stoked just to be hooking me up with the exhaust. And all the guys I've dealt with at Gibson so far have been equally as stoked to have me come in. The Gibson offices and plant looked very professional, and from what it sounded and looked like they've been making performance exhausts for off-road vehicles very successfully for some time, so I'm confident my girl is in good hands.

I made some audio recordings (sorry, no time for video) of my stock system doing various things - accelerating up and on-ramp, accelerating on the highway, accelerating from a dead stop and simply running down the freeway. I'll make the same recordings either Friday or Saturday after I get the car back with the new system so people can have a comparison. I've been told it will make the note a bit deeper and add an HP or two. I'm not terribly concerned about those gains, and I can't really afford a dyno session, but I'll post up my completely un-scientific feelings about any power gain I feel when I post the new recordings.

Thanks again John, and thanks Gibson!

Hello 300TouringNproud,

It was our pleasure. Gibson had been looking for the 3.5L for sometime. Fortunately once we found out that they needed the 300 we found you. It all took less than 24 hours and the process thanks to 300TouringNproud and Gibson was very fluid. I will be talking with Gibson this weekend at a local show, and I am very anxious to hear about the results.

FYI: We still need a Magnum and Charger (Both 3.5L) for test fitting for a free intake.

Also, we have recently put several 300/300C/SRT/Magnum/Charger parts on our site at www.socalmotorsports.com. Anything you don't see we have or can get.

Talk to you all soon and again congrats to 300TouringNproud. We hope you enjoy your new toy.

John

Thumbs up Fire-up Audio

Well, I picked up the car late last night from Gibson. My buddy stuck around 'cause he wanted to hear it... I sat down, put the key in, turn it and... looked back at my buddy standing behind it to see his eyes wide. "Holy sh*t!" Big grin on my face, big grin on his.

This thing sounds sick. WAY deeper than stock, grumbly.. wow! Sounds like I actually have something under the hood (that could be a problem.. oh well).

As promised here's an audio clip: http://homepage.mac.com/vogela/audio/file0040.mp3

I'll post more of daily driving later, but I thought I'd get this one up right away. I have to say I'm still undecided. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable gains in power, but I wouldn't expect to see much. The sound is sick, but definitely might be more than some want. For now I dig it, but it could prove to be too rough on my ego not having the engine to back up the sound.

Regardless, definitely a big Thanks! again to Socal Motosports and Gibson!
